
In 2023, Stab, in collaboration with Vans, set out to showcase the lives of Pipe Masters competitors, culminating in what they chose to make and eat on the morning of the event.
Some kept it simple with smoothies, while others went all out catching and cooking their own fish.
My role was to create social edits from these videos, helping to promote the event and bring these stories to life.
A big part of my role was trimming down the full YouTube videos into short, engaging social cuts.
I had to pull the best action shots while also capturing the personalities of the competitors in just a few seconds.
I had to make sure each clip reflected the surfer’s unique personality while still being snappy enough to grab attention on social media.
Finding that balance between storytelling and fast paced edits was a fun and rewarding challenge.
