Stab in the Dark is one of my favorite projects Stab does, and getting to be a part of it was an experience I won’t forget. This year, Kolohe Andino stepped up as the featured surfer, testing a lineup of mystery boards and giving raw, unfiltered feedback.
From crafting engaging content for Stab’s social platforms to ensuring brand partnerships were seamlessly integrated, to helping execute the film’s premieres, I had a hand in shaping how the project was received beyond just the full-length feature.

Beyond editing, I played a role in helping put on the film’s premieres, helping to make sure the in person screenings ran smoothly. Seeing the audience react in real time brought a whole new appreciation for the work we put in behind the scenes.
Online engagement is one thing, but looking at the energy of a crowd seeing the film on the big screen for the first time is a new perspective for me.
I also filmed a shaper panel featuring the four finalists at our final premier.
"Bravo boys. One of the best events in so long... lines down the street. Stoked people in the building."
"The show was epic. makes such a difference in good waves. You could feel the crowd watching, judging. Trying to figure out the winner before the announcement."
